Admission Information

Diamond Ridge High School provides academic experiences similar to a traditional high school, as well as online courses, credit recovery, and academic skills supports. We also work with community resources and programs to help students who request it with physical and emotional health, social services, youth development, community engagement and job supports. As a unique and evolving program, Diamond Ridge operates under the same rules and expectations as found in a traditional day school setting.

To enroll at Diamond Ridge High School (DRHS):

1.   Student and Parent/Guardian complete and submit the Diamond Ridge High School - Student Application for Admission. 
      (Linked above.)  Incomplete applications will not be accepted!

2.   Referring school completes the Diamond Ridge High School Referral Form.  If the student receives Special Education Services,
      the IEP Team Lead must also sign the Referral Form.  (If you are not within Canyons School District and need a copy of the Referral Form,

3.   Submit Application & Referral to Amy Boettger, Administrator, Diamond Ridge High School.

4.   Once a student is accepted, students are REQUIRED to attend a MANDATORY ORIENTATION with a parent.
      Applications will be reviewed weekly, with Orientations on:

      - TUESDAY, AUGUST 6 at 12:00 PM or 4:30 PM

      - THURSDAY, AUGUST 8 at 7:30 AM or 2:00 PM.
5.   Online registration will need to be completed in August 2020, including payment of registration fees of $85.
      (Activity Fee $45, Book Rental $30, LMS/Canvas $10**)  Fees may be waived in accordance with state regulations.

A Learning Management System (LMS) is a toll to facilitate the delivery of digital learning blended with traditional in-class experiences. At this time, Canvas was selected as the LMS for every high school because of its extensive use in Utah’s colleges and universities, along with its ability to increase collaboration among students, teachers and parents. Students will use Canvas to write, read, do math, while learning and practicing valuable 21st Century skills.
